Management of locally advanced periampullary tumors: A multicenter study

Background: Pancreas may develop either benign or malignant tumors. Pancreatic cancer (PC) is one of the most lethal solid tumors which ranking as fourth cause cancer-related death in United States. Aim: To analyze results treatment locally advanced pancreatic to come up with management strategy. Patients and Methods: Patients (n=136) were retrospectively evaluated periampullary carcinoma where 40 patients diagnosed carcinoma, from January 2010 2018 multicenter. Results: Patients head 20/40 patients, all by radiological imaging, 28/40 (70%) was males 12/40 (30%) females male:female ratio 2.3:1. The age at diagnosis 39-62 years a median 51 years. All patientswere = followed for 24 months Multislice CT, PET-CT tumor markers. Some underwent neoadjuvant down staging then surgery done 25/40 cases. Whipple’s operation without VR 17/25 8/25 cases, 6/40 cases died during chemotherapy 9/40 unfit due disseminated disease complications chemotherapy. Conclusion: Pancreatic metastatic need MDT decide different modes order obtain better
